I am a New York City based stage, screen, and voiceover actress with a voice described as rich velvet. Originally hailing from Atlanta, I'm a proud member of both SAG-AFTRA & AEA. I have an MFA from West Virginia University, BFA from NYU Tisch, and training from The British American Dramatic Academy.
I’ve performed Off Broadway, along with select television credits: HBO’s INSECURE, AMAZON PRIME's #LOVEMYROOMIE, and NBC's 30 ROCK. Upcoming: THE GOOD FIGHT (PARAMOUNT) and the highly anticipated film, THE COLOR PURPLE MUSICAL.
In the face of my own life lemons (you gotta make lemonade, right?) I enjoy educating and empowering people, especially women about their body's ability to heal with the right nutrition and exercise. You’ll probably find me nerding out on a good cook book about macros, the benefits of eating for hormone health, and functional nutrition (even though I sneak snacks when I’m not supposed to). I enjoy fitness, travel, a funny memoir, and all things self help.
As a kid I always looked forward to earning that cool holographic button and personal pan pizza every ten books (Oh no, did I just date myself?!?!). The aftermath is my love of all things fiction, especially mysteries (love, love!l). I’ve narrated YA, Fantasy/Sci-Fi, and Romance. In particular, my more than 10 years of experience as a stand up comedian have given me a solid funny bone, and made me a sucker for romantic comedies.
But my greatest achievement has been mentoring inner city youth during my nine years of combined experience in the nonprofit and higher education sectors. I hold a graduate degree in Public Administration with certification in Nonprofit Management, expertise in grant writing, fundraising, program management, leadership, arts education and special events. As a result, some of my nonfiction interests include youth development, women's empowerment, and social justice.
